The 1972 Porsche 917 L&M Can Am Champion For Sale

I was just a kid when these cars were competing, but I can remember seeing pictures of them and reading about the legendary drivers. Some lucky collector will have to bid very hard indeed to own this, but the new owner will have a unique car. Raced by Mark Donohue and George Follmer, it’s the car that dominated the ’72 Can Am Series. Freshly prepared for sale by Bruce Canepa, it’s up for auction at the Mecum Monteray sale in August.
