Actually, quite possibly photo of the week, the month, the year… One of the most atmospheric images I’ve seen in a long while of Ray Hanna and the Spitfire MH434. Shot at Biggin Hill, another legendary name, by Sceptre 63 as he dismounts after his display, circa 2005. Just stop and take in the atmosphere and the late summer colours, those faded and worn calfskin gloves, the silver hair, fighter pilot’s square jaw. And of course, the Rolls Royce Merlin sitting at the front of the Spitfire and that huge Hamilton Standard propeller.
Superb.
