Scheckter and the Six Wheel Tyrrell Back Together

Scheckter and the Six Wheel Tyrrell Back Together

Jody Scheckter will be jumping back into his old six wheel Tyrell for the first time in forty years this August. As well as hosting Carfest South for BBC’s Children In Need, he will be taking the wheel of the Tyrrell P34 once again. Scheckter now owns the car that he drove alongside team mate Patrick Depallier in 1976. He made history at Anderstorp in Sweden when he became the first and only driver to win a Grand Prix in a six wheeled car.

It will be a doubly special weekend for Scheckter as he will not only take a trip down memory lane in his newly acquired P34 but also he’s hosting CarFest South which takes place quite literally in his own back yard as Laverstoke Park is the organic/biodynamic farm he established in Hampshire.

Carfest is fully sold out, but you’ll be able to keep up to date on the website here.
