It’s an unlikely idea, but it looks spectacular. I’m a big fan of the GT3 class in FIA rallying. My own personal view is that it’s deliberately discouraged by many organisers, as the sound and spectacle of a well driven GT3RS rally car upstages a WRC car every time. Aston Martin rally cars are nothing new, Prodrive offered a GT3 version of the V8 Vantage in 2006, with limited success. But taking a DBR9 and entering a tarmac rally is something else. This is around ten minutes long, so grab a coffee, turn up the volume and enjoy it. The camera work is no great shakes and without a doubt, the car is a huge thing to be threading down Portugese lanes and stage starts are deliberately gentle, but it’s a great sound, flat shifting down the tree lines avenues….
