Falken were a little ahead of the game on releasing their press information on the updated Porsche GT3R race car. Porsche’s official information came out a day or so later, but we’re running the Falken teams pictures, just because the colour scheme is as cool as ever.
Techie stuff includes enhanced cooling vents front and rear. At the front there are wider arches, a new splitter and twin canards. The car will be driven by Sebastian Asch, Peter Dumbreck, Wolf Henzler and Martin Ragginger in VLN and Nurburgring 24 hours. This is probably the final year you’ll see a 997 Porsche racing at the front,as next year’s 991 based GT3R is ready and waiting to take it’s place. Long live the Mezger engine…
